4th Quarter Nail-biter

On Monday, January 31st, the LCHA high school basketball team met Sacred Heart Apostolic School for the third time this season. It was a hard-fought effort by the Royals, and the battle ended with SHAS finishing ahead by 4 points, winning 53 to 49.

The Royals had higher numbers on the board than their last meeting against SHAS, on January 10th. Four players had double figures, defensive rebounding was significantly increased, 7 steals, and 5 assists were also recorded. With more aggressive play under the basket, the Royals are marching forward in their growth as a team.

Gavin Barnhart, led the night with 11 points, making a crowd-shattering 3 pointer from just inside half court in the 4th quarter tying Sacred Heart. Aidan Cook, Declan Ladewski, and Hudson Barth, all contributed 10 points each. Declan was 4-6 from the free throw line. Wyatt Wilson had 7 defensive rebounds. Aidan Cook had 4 steals and 5 rebounds. Every player on the Royals’ bench contributed to the team coming so close to out-scoring their rival Monday evening.

High fives to our Royals program, directors, coaches, ALL our families, parents, friends, and fans who support our Royals and help make this all possible!

"Team learning is the Process of aligning and developing the capacity of a team to create the results its members desire. It builds on the discipline of developing a shared vision." ~Peter Senge
